Recently, the pilot training base for artificial intelligence and unmanned vehicles, jointly built by Jiangsu Zhangjiagang Secondary Vocational School, Zhangjiagang Branch of Jiangsu Union Technical Institute and Jiangsu Runtong Data Service Co., Ltd. (brand: SLoonycon), has officially launched. The spacious, standardized factory workshop of the training center has been fully completed, with representatives from both the school and enterprise conducting on-site site inspection and coordination work.

This multi-functional training platform features three officially unveiled core zones: School-Enterprise Co-constructed Artificial Intelligence Training Center, Unmanned Vehicle Pilot Test Training Base, and Sino-German Dual Vocational Education Training Center. Leveraging Runtong Data's mature R&D and mass-production capacity in drive-by-wire chassis, unmanned chassis, low-speed autonomous handling vehicles and intelligent mobile robots, the base bridges the gap between theoretical classroom teaching at vocational colleges and hands-on industrial practice.
The bright, spacious training workshop is equipped with standard industrial piping, large daylight windows and full supporting industrial infrastructure. It supports full-process teaching covering drive-by-wire chassis assembly & calibration, full unmanned vehicle performance testing, autonomous driving algorithm practice and equipment operation & maintenance training. The enterprise will place its flagship products including the M480 electric four-wheel transport vehicle and full series standardized unmanned drive-by-wire chassis inside the training venue. Students can conduct hands-on disassembly, parameter calibration and secondary development, gaining direct access to mass-production-grade intelligent mobile hardware during their studies.
School officials stated that the launch of this industry-education integrated training base fills the gap in practical training courses for local intelligent manufacturing and autonomous vehicle majors. Adopting the proven Sino-German dual vocational training model, the college will co-develop customized courses with the enterprise. Real industrial project cases and on-site equipment maintenance & calibration standards will be integrated into daily classes, cultivating versatile skilled talents tailored for intelligent logistics, park autonomous transport and industrial intelligent mobile robot industries.
Staff from Jiangsu Runtong Data explained that building the school-enterprise training base fulfills the company's social responsibility to nurture industrial technical talent, while also building a talent reserve pool of matching professional technicians for the enterprise itself. Moving forward, the company's professional engineers will deliver regular on-site lectures at the training center, and the product pilot test workshop will be fully open to students. Practical research and development achievements finished by students can be further optimized and transformed into commercial-grade equipment solutions, forming an integrated closed loop linking teaching, technology R&D and industrial commercialization.
SLoonycon has focused on independent R&D of drive-by-wire unmanned chassis and low-speed autonomous vehicles for years, owning a complete self-developed manufacturing system. Its products are widely deployed in factory material handling, park passenger shuttles, warehouse AGV and other commercial scenarios. After official operation, this school-enterprise cooperation base will offer long-term hands-on training opportunities for vocational students and industry interns. It will continuously supply practical professional technicians for the Yangtze River Delta intelligent manufacturing and intelligent logistics sectors, and set a benchmark model for regional collaborative development of industry and vocational education.
